The AirTag 2 is powered by Apple’s second-generation Ultra Wideband (U2) chip, the same technology found in the iPhone 17 and Apple Watch Series 11. This upgrade enables 1.5x greater Precision Finding range, allowing your phone to guide you to lost items from much farther away.

Designed for durability and ease of use, the new model features an IP67 water resistance rating and a speaker that is 50% louder than the original. It integrates seamlessly with the “Share Item Location” feature in iOS, which allows you to securely share a tracking link with trusted third parties—such as airline staff—to help recover lost luggage.
