The JBL Grip (2025/2026 Edition) is a compact cylindrical speaker designed to be “grabbed and gone.”¹ Unlike the boxy Go 4, the Grip features a vertical orientation with an integrated ambient light on the back panel that can be customized to match your music’s vibe.

It is arguably the toughest small speaker in JBL’s current lineup, featuring an IP68 rating (fully waterproof and dustproof) and a specialized drop-proof construction that allows it to survive falls of up to 1 meter onto concrete. Performance is driven by AI Sound Boost, which uses a real-time algorithm to push the 16W driver to its limits without distortion, providing a much bigger soundstage than its size suggests.
